CRECE is the Center for Economic Renewal, Growth and Excellence. We are a non-political-partisan non-profit entity dedicated to formulating, disseminating and establishing policies and practices that promote economic freedom, individual responsibility and opportunities in Puerto Rico and in the Hispanic communities in the United States to achieve their maximum potential of growth and prosperity.
Our mission is focused on growth. Our research center (think tank), based in Puerto Rico, is committed to promoting those principles and public policies that have had successful results throughout the world in the training of individuals and struggling societies and prosperous societies. We are convinced that to prosper and achieve individual and collective growth, Puerto Rico must explore new strategies and policies that allow it to overcome the challenges it currently faces and achieve transformation. CRECE aspires to be a key agent in the development of the people of Puerto Rico, which is an integral and vibrant part of the growing Hispanic community in the United States.
Part of our mission is to promote the business development of our young people. As part of this mission, we work the Lemonade Day Puerto Rico program. This is a free educational program focused on teaching children how to start and operate their own business - a lemonade stand.
